And the city goes crazy again - just like Saturday night! It seems that France has beaten Portugal in a very close 1-0 match and will be heading to the Finals this weekend! No sleep for me tonight - at least not until veeerrryyy late.
It's an interesting thing to witness as we don't have anything like it in the States. I mean, maybe the SuperBowl or World Series comes close, but I've never heard this much commotion with either of those events. Everyone has been walking around sporting their team's colors and some even drape themselves in the country's flag! Definitely something to witness!!
Sorry, no pics. Wish you could hear all the horns honking - just nuts!! But a fun kind of nuts.

Hey Kid!!! See, it does you good to get outside of the states!! Those Europeans do definitely get into their soccer teams far more than we even do with our sports. It's definitely a lot of fun to be in the middle of! :) I'm so happy that you're having a good time there. I'm jealous! ;) I would love to go back again someday.
Enjoy your time and get back safe - Washington street isn't the same without you. :)

Hello again!!! Since you're not here to talk to as often as you usually are -- I just had to tell you that the Alice Cooper concert was absolutely wonderful. I had the best time. Mike, of course, was confused about most of his music. He enjoyed it, but was still clueless about most of the songs that the rest of us were singing and dancing around to. He's so sweet to put up with it and go with me anyway. He said if you had been here, he would have sent you with me. :) You're having far more fun - I told him!! :)

OK...I'm ready for an update. I know you have OTHER things to do like...study, see Paris, meet NEW people, have F*U*N, drink coffee, enjoy crepes at a sidewalk cafe, read, ride the metro...but I miss you. So...for now, I'm enjoying the blogs from your Mom, Brenda, Becky and others!! I should have known you, Brenda, would have gone to see Alice Cooper!!! I was trying to think of his songs--kind of wanted to see what he looked like these days. Makeup? But, I'm going to Chicago very soon to see WICKED, so saving my money for that. Seriously, you have to put up some photos from yesterday's madness--perhaps some of the rioting crowds on the field. Love the kitties with the map of Paris. I'll expect to see them getting off at the RER station any day now.
