Diet Coke?

One interesting cultural difference I've seen while here is that Diet Coke is *not* Diet Coke here. It is "Coca-Cola Light"

I wonder if the word 'diet' is considered vulgar in France...?

Interesting... there must be something strange about the diet, that they had to go to all of the effort to have Light cans made. It looks more like a Coors Light can now! Ha. Just wanted to say hi from a fellow SCSer, and hope your summer is going well.

I wondered if they were still doing that there. A lot of Europe has those. My cousins in England sent me a pic of a can like that a long time ago. I wondered if they would keep those.
You'll have to save one and bring it back with you.
I like Paige's idea of it being a Coors light can -that would be so much more interesting to drink than the diet Coke. :)
Hey, my wedding dress is being delivered today. :)Or should I say "our" dress is being delivered since we have the same one (years apart). ;)
Hope you're having a good time there. Miss having you here, that's for sure. I haven't seen much of James since you've been gone. I stopped by once to see if he needed anything, but he must have been in the basement and didn't hear me knock. Didn't want to disturb him if he was, so I didn't call. I hope he's doing ok since you're not there! :)
Take care!!! Behave yourself!

Glad to see you are having a good time and finding some cultural differences. Does it taste the same?
Continue to enjoy your experience!

It is 'light' in the Dominican Republic too - I had to bring some home to show everyone!

Hey Danita,

What about showing some of the Pepsi products for those of us who engage in the "Cola Wars" here at UIUC (for my husband the PepsiMan).

Hey, Sweetie! Miss you a lot...but i'm so glad you're having a good time. I guess they're keeping you pretty busy, aren't they? Kittens are growing like mad, but can't get near them! I'll keep trying, though i'm not sure if i'll succeed. Wish me luck!! By the way, Dan's finally out of the hospital. He was in 12 days!! He got out on Monday. Thought you'd like to know. Gonna go, now.love, MOM
